So after going to the orthopedic doctor today we had some information given to us about exactly what was going on with Ashlynn’s arm. Ashlynn has two green sick fractures in her left arm. Both Fractures are in different places on the two different bones. She will have this cast for two weeks and then we will go in and have another x-ray to see how things are healing and if things look good they will cut the cast off to just below her elbow. She will then wear that cast for two weeks and the doctor hopes we can have it off at the end of those two weeks. Ashlynn screamed and hollered when they put the cast on but she doesn’t seem to mind it too much now. Bath time is going to be interesting but at least it is only for 4 weeks.

I go 4 weeks without bathing all the time. No big deal.
At least she's sort of smiling in this picture! Good luck with the baths! You could bring her over here and the puppy could lick her clean! It was just a thought!

When my mom broke her arm in December, the doctor told her that kids always heal faster than adults, thus the 4 weeks for Ashlynn's cast. I bet the time will fly by and before you know it she will be all healed!
So sad! This sounds almost exactly like what happened to Sadie a little over a year ago. She got hit by a girl on a swing. I didn't think her arm was broken either... until we took her to the doctor a week later. Pretty cute cast!
